I just returned from Blissdom Canada 2014 where I had the wonderful opportunity to speak during the Blissdom Canada Power Hour and share my positivity pledge. I was so honoured to share my story. I won’t write it all here but I was asked to share the last part of my speech. I challenged the audience to write their own positivity pledge. One that includes a pledge to kindness, compassion, and to living with an attitude of gratitude.
I do hope to read some great pledges. I do hope my speech inspires others to write their story, to share their challenges and I hope it helps them overcome the hurdles they have faced in their lives.
My Positivity Pledge
I decide today to take a pledge and make an effort to be more positive. To make peace with the past because it will have a negative bearing on my future. I promise to talk about and to myself with kindness, for I am a supreme being of beauty, and beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.
I decide to be a more positive role model for all the young people in my life. I will not dwell in the bad, I will grieve and I will rise above. I understand that becoming and living in a positive way is a process. One that will have a profound impact on my life and to all who surround me.
I decide to let go of negative influences, wishing them well but knowing they cannot be a part of the life I am choosing to live. I will be a more positive partner to my significant other, allowing myself to love freely without reservation, or worry that I may not be enough. I am enough. I am worthy. I am positive. I am kindness. I am love.
I am a spark living in the now, igniting my life with passion and purpose. I am loving my life where I am in it. Positively.
